Honda Gresini Ascertained Shown In Valencia

Fausto Gresini finally confirmed that his team will race in the last series in the MotoGP Valencia GP. Team San Carlo Honda Gresini stated that this was done purely out of respect for Marco Simoncelli.

"The decision to participate is not easy but we do have to take this choice as a Marco wanted," said Gresini quoted from Crash, Monday (31/10/2011).

Previously, they had reportedly not going to perform in Valencia. They originally wanted to spend the final series of the 2011 MotoGP World Championship as it is still in shades of mourning for the death of their flagship racer, Marco Simoncelli.

However, then came the news that they at least will be present in Valencia although not down to race. Now, through the direct owner Honda Gresini will race at the Circuit Ricardo Tomo. "Going to the Valencia race is the best way to honor him by doing the most preferred Marco Simoncelli: riding and gained experience in the world of MotoGP," said Gresini.

"I believe the best ways of expressing affection which we can give to Marco is preparing the team and the drivers for this race," continued Gresini.

Honda Gresini RC212V will go down with the motor to be driven by drivers Hiroshi Aoyama. Meanwhile, on the Gresini Honda Moto2 class will also go down with the rider Yuki Takahashi and Michele Pirro. Thus, it will become Aoyama's last race in MotoGP next season because he will move to the Superbike World Championship event.

"Super Sic will be present in the hearts of Hiroshi Aoyama, Michele Pirro, and Yuki Takahashi. And I believe that they will provide the most fitting tribute by the performance on Sunday, "said former world champion road racing is.
